Family No 1 is a Hindi comedy television series that was aired on Sony TV. The serial was broadcasted in the year 1998. The story of this serial is unique as it was not a regular soap opera or a romance serial. The story revolves around two families the Malhotra and Potia family. Both the families consist of single parents, and unfortunately, they both end up renting the same house as they both get cheated by a house broker. Initially, the house is filled with a lot of quarrels as both the family has to share the same household properties. The Malhotra family consists of a divorced single parent Deepak with his three kids Rahul, Rashmi, and Guddu. The Potia family also consists of a divorced single parent Shalini with her three kids Bharti, Toofan, and Dheer.
The story is filled with hearty laughter for the viewers as the serial portrays the humorous events that happen in their daily life. The mischievous act of both the parents in securing their things from each other and the bond between their kids is also shown.
