Katrina Kaif is a prominent and very popular British-Indian model and film actress. Advaita Kala is an Indian author, screenwriter, and columnist. She has written plays for many films such as the love drama Anjaana Anjaani (2010) and the thrilling drama Kahaani (2012). In addition to film writing, Kala has also written two novels: Almost Single (2007) and Almost There! (2013). Kala's younger sister is an advocate for the London School of Economics and her father has been retired as a secretary for the Government of India. She was brought up in Delhi. Namrata Rao is an Indian movie editor who was born on the 15th of April in the year 1981. Namrata was born to a Dehli middle-class family, she managed to obtain a degree in IT but decided to leave the field to pursue film. Namrata started her career as a graphic designer and worked with NDTV for some time, before she decided to study a film making at the Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute, Kolkata.

A fashion stylist and costume designer, Anaita was born in 1972. She has been working as the Fashion Director of the well-known Indian magazine called The Vogue. She began her career with Elle Magazine in 1996 when it was first launched in India. Prior to Vogue India, she has also worked with L’Officiel India. Her work became popular in the Bollywood film Industry. She is notable for her magnificent work in several Bollywood films including the Dhoom series. All the three Dhoom films were blockbusters.

Gauri Shinde is an Indian feature films and ad-films director who won the Filmfare award 2013 for her debut feature film English Vinglish as best debut director.

Gauri Shinde is an Indian director and ad-maker who came to limelight after the success of her debut feature film English Vinglish which was released in the year 2012. In the same year, she was nominated in list of ‘Bollywood’s 5 Best Directors of 2012’ by Rediff. Her schooling was completed in Pune and then she came to Mumbai for her internship with Sidharth Kak. She completed her graduation from Symbiosis Institute of Mass Communication, Pune. She has worked with Bates Clarion and IBW as an ad-film maker. She has also worked with Lowe Lintas. After that, she went to United States to further her studies.

In 2001, she made a short film titled Oh Man! This short film was selected to be premiered in the Berlin Film Festival. Her full length feature film English Vinglish was premiered in the Toronto Film Festival. During an interview, she commented that her movie English Vinglish was based on her own relationship and experienced with her mother. Her debut film got many accolades and appreciations from critics and viewers. Gauri Shinde won Filmfare Award for Best Debut Director for English Vinglish and she also got Laadli National Media Awards for Gender Sensitivity. Along with that, she also won Zee Cine Awards, Max Stardust Award, Star Guild Award, and Toifa Awards 2013 as best debut director of a feature film.

Ileana D'Cruz made her debut in Telugu film "Devadasu" with Ram Pothineni, which fetched her the Filmfare best female debut award in 2006. After working in the Telugu film industry for nearly six years, Ileana made her Bollywood debut with "Barfi"(2012), co-starring with Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra. 

Southern film actresses (Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada) have made their mark in Bollywood over the years and went on to become the leading ladies of B-town. The trend of South Indian actresses migrating to Hindi film industry is not new. Bollywood has always welcomed film stars from down south. Ileana D’Cruz is the latest south Indian divas in Bollywood.

Barfi was very beautiful film, an interesting story to capture the heart of cine-viewers. 

She made a Tamil film debut in Kedi which did not go well with the audiences, but her Telugu film Katarnak with Ravi Teja did well at the box-office. In 2007, she had one release “Aata” and in 2008, she did an action film (“Jalsa”) which fared well at the box-office and received rave reviews. In 2012, she appeared in Shankar’s Nanban (Tamil), a remake of 3 Idiots and in ‘’Julai” (Telugu), these films became biggest hits. She was last seen in Saif Ali Khan’s ‘’Happy Ending’’ which was a flop. In 2015, she had one release “Kick 2’’ (Telugu), which received mixed response. 

An acclaimed actress in the southern film industries, she made a splash with her Hindi film debut Barfi! Hope her latest films will not fall short of people’s expectations hereafter.

Dolly Ahluwalia is an actress, who became popular for her works as a costume designer. In 2001, she received the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award for costume designing, and became a three-time National Film Award winner; twice for the category of Best Costume Design for her works in the films, Bandit Queen and Haider respectively and one as Best Supporting Actress for her outstanding performance in the 2012 comedy drama film, Vicky Donor. 

Dolly was born and raised up in Delhi and she has been very active in dramatics all through her years in St. Thomas. Then she studied at Delhi University, where she received a lot of trophies from the dramatics section, until her father saw an ad of the National School of Drama. Dolly’s father works in the government while her mother is a plain housewife. She is the youngest among her four siblings. Her father knew Mrs. Rita Kothari, a teacher from NSD, and that’s how she started in NSD. 

According to Dolly, she initially worked as a costume designer and then as an actress, but she has no formal training in design and acting. Vidya Balan is an award winning Bollywood actress who was born in Poothamkurussy, Puthur of Kerala. Her birthday is 1st of January in 1978. Her parents are Saraswathy and P. R Balan. Amitabh Bachchan was born on October 11, 1942 in Allahabad, India. Bachchan's father was a prestigious Hindi poet Dr. Harivansh Rai Bachchan and his mother, Teji Bachchan, was a Sikh socialite. Being his parents’ first born, he has a junior male sibling resembling to his name Ajitabh. Bachchan went to Sherwood College before enlisting in Delhi University to complete his B.A. (Bachelor of Arts) degree. He became a cargo dealer in Calcutta after completing his graduation. Amitabh Bachchan married to Jaya Bhaduri and has one son named Abhishek and one daughter named Shweta. Bachchan's father passed on in 2003 and his mother in 2007.

In 1969, Bachchan made his film debut in Saat Hindustani a film administered by Khwaja Ahmad Abbas which won him the National Film Award for Best Newcomer. By the early 1970s, Bachchan had collected fame in crowds as the "Angry Young Man" in an arrangement of successful Hindi gimmick movies. Mohammad Samad is an Indian actor, who started his acting career at the age of twelve years old. He played as an orphaned street kid who dreams of beating a huge black kite named Kali in Rajan Khosa’s 2012 children’s film, Gattu.

Javed Akhtar is an Indian poet, lyricist, film scriptwriter from Bellwood. He is best known for teaming up with Salim Khan. Javed Akhtar came to recognition as a scriptwriter duo of Salim-Javed. Salim-Javed was instrumental in making of Amitabh Bachchan the superstar and 'angry young' image in Indian cinema, While Salim had ideated stories, Javed used to write the dialogues. Abhishek Bachchan, or Abhishek Srivastava, is a very well known famous celebrity in the Indian film industry. He is the son of Bollywood’s biggest iconic stars, Amitabh Bachchan, who made more than 100 films in his acting career and won over 30 awards. Abhishek is also known by the name Junior B. He was born on February 5th, 1976, in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui was born in Budhana in Muzaffarpur district of Western UP on May 19, 1974. He grew up with seven brothers and two sisters in his native village. He is a science graduate from Gurukul Kangri University Haridwar and after completion of his graduation, he worked as a chemist in a factory for a short while. He did not like the job and hence leaving it proceeded to Delhi to find some other job which might interest him. As he could not find a suitable job in Delhi, he even worked as a watchman for his survival. Within a short while, he watched theatres and felt interested in it. He joined a theatre group and started studying the art of acting. He graduated in acting from National School of Drama in 1996 and relocated to Mumbai to pursue his career in acting.

On arrival in Mumbai, sustenance and survival became a serious issue for him and he started doing minor and few minute roles in the television which was simply not enough either for his survival or to showcase his acting talent. At one point of time having been fed up with minor roles in TV, he decided to try his luck in Bollywood film industry where though the roles were minor and nondescript, the money paid was higher than that of TV serials.

After a very long story of struggle, he got the lead role in Pipli Live, Kahani, gangs of Wasseypur and gangs of Wasseypur-2 which turned the tables in his favour. He won a National special jury award for his performance in Pipli Live.

He initially wanted a career in engineering and was admitted to Jabalpur Engineering College. but dropped out after some time. He went on to complete his BSc degree in Physics from University of Mumbai. During his years in university his passion for cinema drove him to work and assist in numerous level in the television and film industry.  

In his mid-twenties Basu began his career on the set of popular show Tara working as an assistant director. He went on to direct various serials such as X-Zone and Saturday Suspense both of which are thrillers. Basu was set to make his directorial film debut with Kucch To Hai but left half way through the production and was replaced. Annu Kapoor or born as AnilKapoor, is an Indian movie actor, TV and radio presenter who were born on February 20, 1956 in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India. He has an almost similar name with the actor, Anil Kapoor, so in 1982 he decided to change his name to Annu Kapoor. He was trained in the National School of Drama in New Delhi, India in 1976.

In 1979, he first appeared as a stage actor and he was noted for his appearance in Ek Ruka Hua Faisla under the direction of his brother, Ranjeet, in 1982. Shyam Benegal, an Indian director who made Annu’s debut film, Mandi in 1983.

Annu was also part of the serial, DD National (DD1) in 2007 and performed in the black comedy film, 7 Khoon Maaf as Inspector Keemat Lal. He also directed various plays and films such as the Abhay (The Fearless) that received the National Film Award for Best Children’s Film and V. Shantaram Award in 1994. He was also the Aao Jhoomein Gaayen on SAB TV, a musical talent competition for kids and the Gaan Gaao Taaka Naao on Kolkata.
