Tigmanshu Dhulia is a super talented and multi-faceted personality in the Indian film and Television industry. He is an actor, director, story writer, screenplay writer and also an editor. Although, today Tigmanshu Dhulia is primarily known as an ace director who has delivered the audience’s few power packed Hindi movies back to back but he started out with Indian television- the small screen and with theatres. Born on July 3, 1967 in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, India into an educated and well established family, where his father was a judge in the Allahabad High court. Dhulia always wanted to be a part of the film and television industry and started out acting in theatres. He started his career in the year 1993 as a writer, director and an actor in Hindi television serials.  Among his notable works on the Hindi television – Kahani ek kanya ki (Doordarshan)- which was written by Tigmanshu Dhulia and he also appeared in a cameo role the story of this serial revolved around the struggles and life of a middle class girl with Hindu mythological reference, Naya Daur Naya Daur is a television show that aired on Zee T >> Read More... (Zee TV)- it was one of the early flagship show of Zee TV, Musafir (star plus)- a story of two unusual people who comes across each other in a very difficult and unusual circumstances and he also acted in this serial, Fursat mein (star plus)- was a light hearted satire, Yudh (Sony TV)- this serial was perhaps the magnum opus of Tigmanshu Dhulia where he essayed the role of a corrupted politician and it was the story of a construction tycoon based in NCR region and started the Shahenshah of Bollywood Shri Amitabh Bachchan are worth mentioning. Among the Hindi movies- Haasil, Bullet Raja, Saheb biwi aur gangster, sahib biwi aur gangster returns, Gangs of wasseypur part 1 and 2, bas itna sa khwab hai , etc won many awards and accolades. Tigmanshu Dhulia wrote the dialogues and screenplay for the Mani Ratnam’s Dil Se. In recently released Shahid Tigmanshu’s acting was much appreciated. He is known to act in many of his own directed movies and in his acclaimed directorial venture Gangs of Wasseypur part 1 he played the role of the main antagonist.
