Murphy Brown is an American tv series premiered on CBS. It tells the story of Murphy Brown, a hardcore journalist, a news anchor for FYI- a tv newsmagazine, and later for the tv series - Murphy in the morning, a cable morning show.
The series has ten seasons to its credit, over an episode of 247. Murphy is an alcoholic, sharp-tongued woman. She has several colleagues working in her tv series. She raises her child as a single parent. At the end of the series, it was shown that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer and had to leave her job. The show got many accolades and acclaims. It has also got Emmy Award for best comedy series.
The show also made several headlines for its take on the politics of Washington DC and current events.
