Faith Ford is known for her classic acting style with classic beauty, combined with wit and comedic talent. Ford's portrayal of reporter Corky Sherwood on the CBS TV series Murphy earned her a nomination for the Emmy Award five times and twice for the Golden Globe Award. While in High school in Pineville, Louisiana, Faith became a finalist in Teen Magazine’s annual model search while acting in several roles in school players, in her senior year. At the age of 17, Faith moved to New York City where she took acting classes, worked in commercials, and did some modeling. When she turned 18 she landed a role on the soap opera titled Another World, and later One Life to Live.
Before her part in the Murphy Brown series, Ford played a recurring role as a fumbling secretary named Janine on Thirtysomething and starred in the Hope & Faith comedy series for three seasons. Later, she co-starred opposite Fred Goss and Jerry O'Connell in the ABC comedy TV series, Carpoolers. However, Ford's acting style has made her feature as a guest in distinguished roles in many TV series; from My Name is Earl, Criminal Minds, The Middle, The Pacifier, and Prom.
Furthermore, she starred in several TV movies, Mom's on Strike, Field of Vision, A Kiss at Midnight, Trading Christmas, and The Bridge 1 and 2, including the Lifetime movies, Sorority Wars and 2017’, Christmas in Mississippi. Faith co-starred and produced well-received short film thrillers such as Escapee, Citation of Merit and The Day I Finally Decided to Kill Myself. As life in the movie industry was growing strong, in 2004, Ford wrote a now-famous cookbook titled "Cooking With Faith", co-written with Melissa Clark. Lessons from Ford’s Grandmother and mother’s way of cooking were what inspired her to write the cookbook.
