The serial revolves around two separate individuals brought together by fate. Shouronil Mitta fondly known as Saheb is ayoung man belonging from a mediocre middle-class family. He is portrayed as a well educated and ambitious youth. He believes in the simplicity of life and living, yet he has high ideals and morals that he goes by himself. He possesses great knowledge but still manages to stay grounded and respectful. On the other hand, Phuljhuri is portrayed as a youthful young woman who is born and brought up in a fairly wealthy family.

She is the life of the family and her every whim is carried out immediately by her parents. She is portrayed as a youthful being with a bubbly personality who possesses the artistic talents but has yet to understand the struggles or the value of a simple lifestyle. When fate decides to bring together both Saheb and Phuljhuri together in the unity of a marriage their lives are forever altered. Initially even though they are shown to banter quite a lot because of their different views on the various objects and morals of life they slowly begin to understand each other. Gradually they both begin to fall for each other but their marriage and relationship is tested by fate all over again as Phuljhuri begins to face certain challenges in her life as well as in her in-laws. Saheb also starts to face new challenges in his life that test his morals and ideals. Will they be able to overcome the hardships and find peace or will the problems wrench them apart once again is what constitute the rest of the episodes.
