Priya Singh Paul is a Writer, Anchor, Producer, Columnist, Roving Editor, Consulting officer, and media professional turned social activist. She did her schooling at Delhi public school R.K Puram New Delhi. For her bachelor's degree, she went to the University of Delhi, and after that, she studied public leadership and governance at Harvard Kennedy school in the United States. Paul also has an M.A degree in mass communication from MCRC, Jamia Millia Islamia. As a columnist, she has written various columns for Plus news bank, Hindustan times, etc.

Priya grabbed the media headlines when she made a sensational claim of 's daughter. According to her, Sanjay Gandhi (former prime minister Indira Gandhi's son) was her corporal father. Her mother and Sanjay were in love, and she got pregnant with his child at a very young age. They secretly got married in a temple but never publicized their wedding due to unknown reasons. She was adopted by Sheila Singh Paul (founder of Kalawati Saran children's hospital) and Balwant Paul. She also stated that as Sanjay belonged to a political background, she was required to stay away from the limelight.

Priya has a role in the 2009 Commonwealth games. Being an experienced professional in the media industry, event management, senior supervision, and corporate field, she was appointed as additional director general in the 2010 Commonwealth games. Her role was to create, administer and implement the programs in alliance with several state governments and administrators of union territories with the Commonwealth game federation, ministry of youth affairs and sports, the government of Delhi, and Ministry of external affairs (India).
