Hindi Tv Serial Grihdaah

‘Grihdaah’ is a classic based on the one of the best novels of Sharat Chandra Chattopadhyay, who wrote famous stories like Devdas. It was telecast on Doordarshan and concluded with 57th episodes. This is also a story of the love triangle between Suresh, Mahim, and Achala. It is a social drama reinforced by religious discrimination. The poor and educated Mahim was the childhood friend of rich, conservative Suresh. Being born and brought up in a rural society, Mahim was grown up with the tradition of the Brahmin family. Scarcity was the innate buddy of Mahim.

Mahim, in Kolkata, will not get a Medical seat due to financial conditions. Suresh, Mahim's friend is a wealthy guy. Here comes Achala, a graduated girl of Brahma Samaj, appears as the warmth, which confuses the relationship between the three. Achala is not bothered about the poverty of Mahim and marries him. Mahim and Achala move to the village. But now the poverty and rigid conventionalism do not allow Achala and Mahim to get a blissful marriage life.

Mahim falls ill and Suresh rescues Mahim and Achala nurses her husband. Meanwhile, Achala feels that poverty is the only cause for her unhappiness and Achala gets infatuated with Suresh. Suresh elopes with Achala but however the story of the series concludes with the homecoming of Achala and how she reconciles with Hindu tradition.
