Shahnawaz Pradhan is a prominent Indian film and television actor. He was born on June 12, 1963, and was hailed in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. He studied at Ravishankar University and also attended Government High School in Raipur. He started his career working on theatres before entering the film industry. In 2008, Pradhan was seen in the edutainment show, Angrezi Mein Kehte Hain, aired on NDTV Imagine channel.

In 2015, he played the role of Haaris Saeed, the mastermind of the 26/11 Mumbai Attacks, in Kabir Khan’s action thriller film, Phantom. The film was based on S. Hussain Zaidi’s novel, Mumbai Avengers. It traces the story five years after the memorable 26/11 Mumbai attacks. Phantom earned negative reviews and got banned in Pakistan after the real Haaris Saeed filed a petition to Lahore High Court. Pradhan, in real life, has been kept underground for security purposes.
