Hina Khan

Hina Khan is a gorgeous Indian Model and Television Actress who belongs to a Hindu-Muslim household in Srinagar, Kashmir, India. She was born on October 2, 1987. She is also known for her nicknames Hina and Akshara. Her mother is from Srinagar and her father was a native of Mumbai. Her younger brother is Aamir Khan and Hina is the only daughter in their family. She moved to Delhi and studied at CCA School of Management in the city of Gurgaon. Then she took up her Masters Degree in Business Administration at Gargi College in New Delhi. She was a pretty average student in her studies but has a high passion for Singing and Painting. She also has a huge desire to become an actress.

It is also her dream to become a journalist, but fate has something in store for her. Before she entered the glamour world, she also thought of taking the job as an air hostess. She went for an interview and luckily, she was selected to take a 6-months training in Mumbai. However, Hina had to turn down the opportunity because she got sick due to Malaria. Hina doesn’t have any background in acting, so it has been a difficult task to face the camera for the first time. Because of this, she decided to take an acting course for two weeks from Amardeep Jha just before she entered the industry. 

Later, she auditioned for the drama series, “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai” along with her friends, but initially she didn’t take the audition seriously. Next day, she received a call, and she was chosen to play the role of Akshara Singhania. She was very happy that her dreams finally did come true. But because she came from a conventional Muslim clan, Hina has to go through many difficulties at the beginning of her career. But she managed to deal with it later on. Her role in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is a calm and mature girl who was forced to get married to the show’s protagonist (Naitik) character and later finds love after their marriage. This serial became very popular and it is STAR Plus longest running show.

From 2009 to 2012, the actress received several awards for her performance in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai including the Best Naya Sadasya at Star Parivaar, Fresh Face of the Year at the Gold Award, Best Popular Actress at the Indian Television Academy Award and more. This year, she won the Popular Best Actress Award at the Dada Saheb Phalke Award. She also made an appearance in Chef Pankaj Ka Zaayka together with Chef Pankaj on STAR Plus. She also made appearances in various television series such as Sapna Baabul Ka…Bidaai, Kayamath, Master Chef India Season 3 and Chaand Chupa Baadal Mein. Hina also acted in some commercials like Neha Henna, Neha Mehendi and more.
