Katha Kahini is a Bengali family drama TV serial that aired on Colors Bangla in 2022 and is available on the OTT platform, Voot. The main plot of the serial revolves around the life of two friends Katha who comes from a liberal middle-class Bengali family and Kahini who comes from a traditional and conservative Bengali family. They both are best friends but their families do not get along with each other. They despise each other because of a shared secret between them. This secret is important for Katha and Kahini and they are kept in the dark. The secret reveals that they share a special connection. They are not aware of the existence of their connection and are living their individual lives. They both are leading on different lifestyles. Until one day, an unforeseen accident brings them face to face with the reality and they are made aware of their relationship right away.

Soon, the secret is revealed that they are sisters who were separated at a young age and are estranged to this information. Upon discovering their relationship, they make a promise to reunite their parents and help them re-live their young and happy days which were filled with love and memories. They try to resolve their parents conflicts and problems. However, their efforts did bring their parents together but at the stake of their own love life. Their individual lives get disrupted because of their promise. Their disturbed love life affects their relationship with each other. How will the sisters manage to cater to their individual lives and sisterhood?
