Roop Durgapal, an Indian television actress, aged 26, was born in Almora, Kumaon Hills, India on 15th October; 1988.She received a B.Tech degree in 2006 in Instrumentation and Control Engineering at Graphic Era Institute of Technology located in Clement Town, Dehradun.

She was an engineer working for software giant Infosys before entering the showbiz as an actress. She is an example of beauty of brains. Roop started her acting career with a role in Doordarshan’s daily soap opera. She quotes that her family was always supportive of her decision to make a career in acting.

After that she landed up a role in popular T.V show Balika Vadhu - Kachchi Umar Ke Pakke Rishte, commonly abbreviated as Balika Vadhu, Shown on July 21 July 2008 on Colors TV, from 2012 till 2015 as Sanchi Shekhar and then Sanchi Kabra. She quit the show after workingfor abot 12 months as the show was about to take a leap and she didn’t want to do aged roles.

She appeared for 2 years in a children's show Baal Veer as Dari Dari Pari from 2012 till 2013.In 2015 she made a guest appearance in as Icchadhari Nagin, viz a mythical shapeshifting snake. She has also played characters in C.I.D. , Babosa Mere Bhagwan, Shama and Haunted nights. Roop bagged an award for " Most Tez Taraar Personality" in 2013 Colors Golden Petal Awards.

She is currently not seeing anyone has said that she doesn’t believe in running after guys and chivalry is the trait she admires. She is still waiting for her Mr. Perfect.
