Varun Kapoor, who is famous as Danny of Saraswatichandra, is an engineering graduate. He did B.E. in electronics and telecommunications from Sinhgarh College of Engineering, Pune. He completed his schooling in St. Kabir School, Vadodara and he finished his higher studies from Indiana University, Bloomington. He is a talented actor with a charming smile. He looks like a boy next door and has a huge female fan following. On January 2013, he got married to his long time girlfriend, who is an air hostess in Air India airlines. Varun Kapoor is happy with his married life and considers that his wife is his backbone, who is always there to support him. He calls himself an introvert, who does not like much socializing and prefers the comfort of home. Before appearing in Hindi TV serials he has worked as a child artist in few Gujarati movies and commercials.

During his childhood he used to attend school summer camps to learn acting. Later, he bagged the lead role in Chhanchhan, a Gujarati movie. He now aspires to become a Bollywood actor. In serials, he has a lover boy image. In Na Aana Is Des Laado serial, he played a lover boy. After which he was seen as a college student Kabir, in teen show of channel V Hum Se Hai Life, which was produced by Lion Films. Recently he played the parallel lead role of Danny in productions' serial Saraswatichandra. Varun Kapoor believes that, one should not criticize others and should always see positive characteristics of people around us.
