Plot
Military Naidu is very much fond of his sister. When she and her husband get killed in an accident, Naidu brings his nephew Karthik with him and grows him as his own child. He feels that if he gets married, his wife will not treat Karthik as her child and so he avoids getting married. Karthik grows up and has a close bonding with his uncle. He is in love with Haarika. When Karthik gets an opportunity to go to London, he denies it, as he doesn’t want to get separated from his uncle. This didn’t go well with Haarika. But, she understands Karthik’s affection towards his uncle, when she meets Venky Mama. Haarika’s dad, who is against their love, decides to separate Venky and Karthik and succeeds in it. Are they really separated? Watch the film to know the rest.
Star Performance
Venkatesh is fantastic with his expressions and he is too good in the emotional scenes. Naga Chaitanya did his best and fit well in the role. Payal Rajput and Raashi Khanna didn’t get anything solid to do.
Analysis
Although the story seems to be good, we had already watched these kinds of sentimental stories. The execution is okayish. The characters should have been designed better. Except for the performance of both the lead stars, nothing is impressive in Venky Mama. The songs are good and the BGM too. Thaman has done his best. Venky Mama song is top-notching. The cinematography and editing are good.
