Chal Mohan Ranga is a romantic entertainer scripted by Trivikram Srinivas and directed by Krishna Chaitanya. The film is produced by Trivikram Srinivas, Pawan Kalyan and Sudhakar Reddy. “ Nithiin” plays the hero and Megha Akash plays opposite to Nithiin. Natarajan Subramaniam cranked the camera and “S Thaman” composed the music. Besides the lead stars, the film has “Pragathi,” Rao Ramesh, Prabhas Sreenu, “ Naresh,” Srinivasa Reddy, Madhu Nandan and Sanjay Swaroop in pivotal roles.

Mohan Ranga and Megha are childhood friends. In a particular situation they both split. After few years, Mohan finds out that Megha is in the US. So, he decides to meet Megha and starts taking essential steps to go to the US. Finally, he sets his journey to the US and after a long search he meets her. He moves closer with Megha and falls for her. Like Mohan, Megha also has some romantic feelings for him. Before proposing, Megha absconds again and this time, she moves to India. Did Mohan finds out Megha? Did they express their love and unite in their life? Watch the film in theaters!

Star Performance

Once again, Nithiin proves that he is a chocolate boy. His performance is fantastic and he covers up the negatives in the film with his performance. Megha Akash did her role with perfection. She excelled in both performance and glamour. Pragati, Rao Ramesh and others have done a decent job.

Krishna Chaitanya has managed the comedy sequences well. But, his narration is not perfect. Dialogues are good and kudos to Krishna. However, the second half of the film lacks in the pace. Sidetracks seem to be unnecessarily added. Nithiin and Megha’s chemistry didn’t attract the people much. The production values are good.

What’s There?

  • Nithiin’s performance and Megha Akash’s looks
  • Comedy scenes worked out well
  • Supporting stars did a fantastic work; especially Pragati and Rao Ramesh
  • Thaman’s musical work is fabulous

What’s Not There?

  • The second half is slow paced
  • Predictable scenes
  • Megha and Nithiin chemistry is not impressive

The film has some flaws, but the performance of Nithiin dims the errors and makes us watch the film in a great mood. Chal Mohan Ranga… a good film to start the Summer!
