Plot
Subramanyam has always dreamed of a government job. But, he didn’t get one, and hence his wife Kalarani takes the family’s responsibility. Like Subramanyam, his son, Arjun, is also jobless. Once, Subramanyam receives Rs 10 lakh in his bank account. Without thinking twice about who deposited the money, he starts spending lavishly. What happens next? Was he in any trouble? The rest of the film focuses on this.
Star Performance
Rao Ramesh plays his part brilliantly. Ankith supports Rao Ramesh with his decent performance. Indraja is commendable as a middle-class housewife. Ramya is also good on screen. Her chemistry with Ankith is admirable. The rest of the supporting stars have done their part well.
Analysis
The story didn’t have any complications. But the narration needs a grip. The first half has some interesting comedy scenes, yet it is a bit draggy. The second half is far better than the first half. The climax scenes were interestingly shot. Although the performances are good, the emotional depth of Subramanyam should’ve been explored better. Similarly, Ramya’s character should’ve been penned better. Some of the comedy scenes didn’t work out due to its outdated concept. The visuals are good, and the editing should’ve been tighter in the first half.

Maruthi Nagar Subramanyam is a decent comedy entertainer with a simple message. If we ignore the errors and watch the film, it will definitely be a one-time decent watch!
