Plot
Mani Maran is running cable TV in Mayiladuthurai. He is a do-gooder and had always been affectionate towards his friends and sister. Once Malli, a gangster, calls him his friend. Mani Maran was much impressed and decided that he would be one of his good friends. Manimaran is such a person who could go to any extent for the people whom he loves. To help his friend Mani Maran had to face a criminal lawyer, who had been supporting crooked people and get them out of any severe case using the loopholes in the law. How Mani Maran gets out of the trouble caused by the criminal lawyer forms the rest of the plot.
Star Performance
Jiiva had done an action hero role and he is excellent with his performance. Riya Suman, the heroine, didn't have much to perform. Varun did his best. Navdeep is right in his role. Yet, his character could have been designed better.
Analysis
Seeru is yet another masala entertainer with the usual script. The film is based on friendship and the hero’s character is designed well. Yet, the rest of the characters should also have been designed better, especially Navdeep’s role. The movie is full of action sequences and some romance here and there. The music composition by Imman is neat; the songs are good and the BGM is fantastic. The visuals are impressive and the production values are adequate.

Seeru is a good action entertainer for the action movie lovers. It could be definitely watched once.
