Alike his family members he is also a singer. He is only 12 years old and yet carved his niche in the music industry. He made an embark in the industry after his debut singing in Dhoom 3 and his version of Bande Hain Hum Uske. He gives all the credit to his dad who is his idol.

To him, his dad is his God when it comes to music. He enjoys singing with his family members. He has learnt music from Saili Kalyanpur for about one and half years other than his dad with. Whom he practices every day. He prefers soothing songs than any power packed music. Since he is still in school, he eventually takes out time for his studies but him it is music that is his life.

He believes that music altogether has a special place in his heart. Currently, he is working on an album with Leslie Lewis, which is the tribute to the guru-shishya relationship. It is a project where all three stars in the family have come up together. Both Shivam and Siddharth with their dad Shankar Mahadevan have sung for it. It will be releasing anytime soon this year.
