The highlight of Oyee is the music of maestro Ilayaraja. It has newcomers featuring in it, and it is a low budget film. Now let’s see what the movie has in store for us.
Geethan Britto is living in a joint family, and he wants to live separately since they oppose his love. Hence, he goes to see his sweetheart Pabri Gosh. And here Eesha gets bail from jail and comes out to attend her sister’s wedding. She happens to be in the bus of Britto, and she helps him to get his belongings from those who try to steal them. She goes to Britto’s family where the parents mistake her to be the former’s lover. Eesha gains good name from the family members of Britto. Though Eesha wants to tell the truth, her sister tells that her marriage would end if the former attends it. Hence, Eesha stays in Britto’s house itself. One day the truth is known. What happens to Eesha? Watch the movie to get an answer to this question.
Geethan Britto has pulled off his role with ease while Eesha has done an earnest job. In most of the scenes, she looks charming. Papri Ghosh has a good screen presence. For the comical element, the combination of Arjunan and Sangili Murugan manages to tickle our humor bones at some places. Bhaskaran lifts the film with his deeply meaningful dialogues. The rest of the characters give good support.
Francis Markus, who has directed this film, has handled a clichéd storyline. However, he has executed the movie in a convincing manner.
What’s not there?
The film can be watched once for its execution which is quite good.
