Plot
The protagonist falls in love with a girl, and the girl reciprocates her love for him. Soon, she elopes with him. While they stay in a place, she confesses to him that she doesn’t love him, but another boy. She tells him that as her lover is from another community, her parents won’t accept their love and kill them. She requests the protagonist to get her married to her lover. Though shattered by her confession, the protagonist decides to visit her lover for further action. What did he do? Did he unite them? The rest of the story deals with this.
Star Performance
Ranjith played the protagonist. Imman Annachi did what he was required to do. The rest didn’t attract.
Analysis
The audience expected that the film would speak against honour killing. But it didn’t. As per the makers’ speeches before the release, the film was supposed to give a social message. This made the audience expect something from the makers and visit the theatres. But, what they witnessed on the screen was different, and there was no such social message. The film is technically down and the visuals and editing are not impressive. The close-up shots are too close and make the audience long for the long shots. The dialogue is too old-fashioned. The comedy track doesn’t evoke any comedy; it only irks the audience. The BGM is very loud; and the villain’s BGM is especially ear-breaking. Another weak point is its cast. Except for Ranjith and Imman Annachi, none are known celebs.
