Saravanan is shocked to see a horsetail grown in his body while he wakeup. He saw a horse in his dream without a tail, and now, he could see him have a tail. He finds the tail moving when he thinks much. Saravanan works in a bank and leads a normal life in an apartment. But, he is addicted to cigars and drinks. Why did he get the horsetail? Was that due to the alcoholic habits that give him an illusion? Van Gogh, a fantasy woman, appears and tells Saravanan that when he searches for something in his memories, he will get them in dreams. So, is the ponytail indicate something from his lost memory? The rest of the film deals with it.
Kalaiyarasan excelled in the given role. Anjali Patil has done a perfect job in the given screen time. Chetan is given a different role, and he is so natural with his expressions.
The script by Rajesh is different. The debutants, Manoj Leonel Jahson and Shyam Sunder, had put a decent effort to make the film appeal good. The characterization is important, and they have made it well. The team has picked up the stars perfectly to fill the characters. The production design is so neat, and the team should be appreciated for the fantastic work. Similarly, the visuals are amazing, and the editing is perfect.

The film comes with a new concept. For the efforts by the makers and the actors, Kuthiraivaal is watchable once!
