Plot: Iru Kadhal Oru Kadhai is a love story directed by the debutante Paneer Selvam. New faces are introduced in this film; the hero is Jana and heroine is
Anu Krishna. The music is scored by Guha.
Jothi and Thenmozhi are doing their final year schooling. Jothi lives with his mother and a sister. Thenmozhi is under the control of her sister and her husband. These two youngsters love each other. They have a classmate called Shakthi, who is not a good natured person. He wants to move closely with all the girls and spoil them. He likes to have a good relationship with Thenmozhi. When he comes to know that Jothi and Thenmozhi love each other, he could not tolerate it. He wants to separate them by some plans. So he plans cunningly and makes Thenmozhi to believe that Jothi is not a good guy. His idea worked out well and poor Thenmozhi leaves Jothi. Shakthi wants to utilize this situation and tries to move closer with Thenmozhi. Poor Thenmozhi does not know the crooked plan of Shakthi, moves closer to him as a good friend. Will Thenmozhi come to know the criminal plan of Shakthi? Whether she rejoin Jothi or not is the rest of the story.
This film means to say that, it is not the time to fall in love while studying. Study while study and the rest will come at the right time is the main point in this story. Jana has performed well in the sentimental scenes as well as in the dance sequences. Anu has also done her role well as an experienced artist. Shakthi too performs well in his villainy role. There is a list of famous artists in this film like Meera Krishna, Devadarshini and Uma Padmanabhan. These ladies are the experts in acting and they have done their part well. Meera as the mother and Devadarshini as the sister in law excelled well. The debutante director has not inserted too much mother sentiment and too much love. He has mixed everything equally to bring a better output.
This movie is for the youngsters. It could be watched once.
