Plot
The plot of the movie revolves around an investigation of a murder spree by a serial killer, conducted by ASP Derick Abraham. Derick’s family consists only of his younger brother, Philip Abraham; their parents died in a car accident when they were young. Derick catches the suspected killer, but later discovers the killer dead, the death toll reaches ten people, as claimed by the killer. Amidst all this, Philip is accused of murdering his girlfriend. During his investigation, Derick confronts his own demons while unraveling a web of deceit and betrayal. Will Derick be able to catch the killer? Did Philip really kill his girlfriend? How did the killer die – Was it a suicide or another killer?
Star Performance
Mammootty excels in the role of the cop and his style, swag and character is fabulous. Anson Paul also delivers his role with great zest. Kanika’s role is pivotal, and she portrays it effectively. All other characters in the movie have done the job as required by them. However, Megastar Mammootty’s acting and fabulous action scenes took the movie to next level.
Analysis
Shaji Padoor has showcased excellent directorial skills in his debut movie. The film grips us from the get-go and captivates us till the end. It showcases the complexities in the life of a police officer, his personal and professional challenges. Mammootty’s acting provides depth to his character. The film revolves around the themes of Family, Justice, Redemption and impact of past decisions. The intense storyline of the film along with strong performances captivates audience and keeps them glued to their seats. The fight scenes in the movie are entertaining and pump the audience with adrenaline. The punchlines and dialogue delivery are on point. Everybody plays their role up to their character.
