Aadu 2” is a comedy entertainer scripted and directed by Midhun Manuel Thomas. The film is the sequel to “ Aadu,” which released in 2015. The movie features, “ Jayasurya,” Vijay Babu, Sunny Wayne, Saiju Kurup, Dharmajan Bolgatty, Vineeth Mohan, “Harikrishnan,” “ Indrans,” Bhagath Manuel, “ Vinayakan,” Aju Varghese, Srinda Ashab, Anson Paul, Biju Kuttan and Sudhi Koppa. Vijay Babu produced the film under his home banner Friday Film House. Vishnu Narayanan cranked the camera and Shaan Rahman composed the tunes. Lijo Paul is the editor.

Shaji Pappan and his team, who are in need of money wanted to earn quickly. When they are in search of money, they got stuck in a fraudulent deal. Hence they are forced to have a tug of war with the gangsters. The underworld don Dude, the police sub-inspector Sharbat Shameer, Minister PP Sasi and Abu are intertwined with the deal and how the hero Shaji Pappan comes out with success is the rest of the story.

Star Performance

Jayasurya has performed excellently as ever. His natural performance and a sort of heroism impress the audiences. His mundu and mustache attract the people. Aju, Dhramajan, Vijay Babu, Indrans and Vinayakan have done their job quite well. Vinayakan creates a stomach aching laugh by his facial expressions; especially when getting slapped.

Midhun has come with a comedy entertainer, to make the audiences laugh out loud. However, there is no gripping screenplay. With the presence of the high profiled stars, the film moves on a positive track.

What’s There?

  • The BGM by Shaan Rahman impresses
  • The cinematography is one among the biggest pluses; Vishnu’s camera captured a lot of eye-pleasing moments
  • Hilarious performances by the stars

 What’s Not There?

  • Songs didn’t attract much
  • No gripping screenplay

Although the film has a lot of loopholes right from the screenplay, it attracts the people without concentrating on the script. Aadu 2 makes us forget all the tension and laugh out loud.
