Chakravyuha is the remake of the 2013 Tamil hit Ivan Veramathiri starring Vikram Prabhu and Surabhi in lead roles. Let’s see what the movie has in store for us.

Plot

Puneeth Rajkumar is upset with the corruption in the system and the evil ways of the law minister. Hence to teach him a lesson or two he kidnaps the minister’s sibling. He not only emerges a winner in making the minister resign from his position but also ends up getting the latter imprisoned. However, there is a reversal of fortune and Puneeth is being searched for. The gang of the minister’s younger brother is on the hunt of Puneeth, and our hero has to protect not only himself but also his mom and lover. Well, watch the movie to know how it proceeds.

Star Performances

Puneeth Rajkumar slips into his character with ease and as usually excels in acting, shaking his legs, and action sequences. Rachita Ram gets a meaty character, and she has done a pretty good job. Rangayana Raghu leaves a mark. Arun Vijay, who essays a role with negative shades, is highly impressive.

Analysis

M Saravanan, the director of the Tamil movie Ivan Vera Mathiri, has directed Chakravyuha in Sandalwood. This is Puneeth’s 25th film, and the director has given a commercial entertainer.

What’s there?

  • The pace of the movie is convincing.
  • The action sequences are spot-on.
  • Music and BGM by Thaman are commendable.
  • Much buildup is not given to the hero of the movie in the first half.

What’s not there?

The screenplay could have been better.

Verdict

A one-time watch movie with a message, Chakravuyh won’t leave the fans of Puneeth disappointed.
