Usually, sequels are a downgrade counterpart of their prequels but Googly 2 remains an exception. Everything is just at par and you cannot hope to be disappointed at all

Plot

Googly2 is completely different from the first part. The love story between the lead characters is told using flashbacks. It shows Sharath (Yash), as a commerce student, and Swathi (Kriti Kharbanda), as a medical student. Sharath is an enthusiastic person and a character who is full of energy, whereas Swathi is a naïve and simple girl. Both of them happen to meet in Bangalore at Sharath's college where a forum is scheduled to take place. They start falling for each other but then some misunderstandings occur which compel Swathi to go back to her hometown, Mysore. But After 2 years, they both are reunited while traveling to a friend’s wedding. The after events that occur then form the rest of the story.

Analysis

It definitely does full justice to its prequel and as we had high expectations from the film after the first installment the makers make sure to live up to our expectations. The movie is unpredictable and you are curious to find how the love story progresses further. The casting is perfect and the scenes and songs are in complete synchronization with the plot.

Star-Performances

Kriti and Yash are commendable as actors and a treat to watch. They flare up a magic on the screen which captivates each and every person in the audience. They have given their best and the efforts they have put shows up in their performances as Swathi and Sharath. 

What’s there?

• The beautiful pairing of Kriti and Yash makes you connect with them instantly.

• It has an emotional factor to it.

• Director Pavan Wadeyar deserves praises as he manages to beautifully weave a story and present it to the audience. 

• Screenplay, writing everything is worth appreciating.

What’s not there?

• This movie was soaring high on expectations before release date and it does not have any glitches in it.

• Songs and music direction could have been a little better but aren’t bad as well. They are refreshing. 

Verdict

The movie is a must watch because it is a complete package and will entertain you from start until the end.
