Plot

The lives of seven people in Mumbai are connected with each other. Anand, Parul, Kavya, Warren Lobo, Sumit Balsaria, Zulfiqar Hussain and Prince are those seven people, whose life has some connection with each other. How the people, who come to Mumbai face serious issues and what happens in the shady sides of the city is shown in the movie.

Star Performance

The stars had repeated what the director had performed before them. Mahesh Bhatt and Kay Kay Menon had done a good job with the natural performance.

Analysis

If the director wanted to cover the dark shades of Mumbai, he should have penned a better screenplay. Some scenes are planned well, but the execution lacks expertise. The characterization could have been better. The cast selection is not much impressive. However, the film showcases the dark side of the City. The technical and the production values are decent.

What’s There?

  • Depression and suicide, which are the main reason in the darker side of Mumbai is shown
  • The script is different from the usual Mumbai stories

What’s Not There?

  • The execution is unimpressive
  • As it shows the darker side of Mumbai, many people are uninterested
  • Casting team should have chosen better actors

Verdict

Although the film shows the dark side of Mumbai, it doesn’t have anything to attract the audiences. With the weak casting, except a few, we couldn’t expect much to entertain. The Dark Side Of Life: Mumbai City – very dull
