Sabir Khan also known as the ‘Master of Sarangi’ is a famous Indian musician and artist from Jodhpur Rajasthan. He was born on 10 January 1978 in Sikar, Rajasthan. He comes from a family of musical legends, also called Sikar Gharana. He is the 9th generation of his family who took up the Sarangi. Initially, he played on stage with his father and slowly developed his solo career in the late 1990s. He plays the note and rhythm, known as sur and laya in a rare combination, that is highly appreciated.
