Plot

Babloo and Dabloo are twins, and they have different characters. Babloo grows as a criminal, and Dabloo stays with his brother as a dependant. Rinku, who lost her father, crosses their paths. She is a Kathak dancer who is forced to perform in local events. Babloo and Dabloo join Rinku to perform a heist, but as it failed, Babloo gets a prison term. Babloo and Dabloo’s parents are Manjiri, a skilled shooter, and Jabrdast Singh, a wrestler. They were cheated by their friend, Ambika Prasad, and had to lose their lives. What’s Babloo’s connection with Ambika Prasad in the present day? What is Rinku’s role in Babloo’s life?

Star Performance

Aaishvary Thackeray’s performance is impressive in his debut. He is convincing in dual roles. He shows variations in both characters and makes us feel that they are two different people. Vedika is excellent as Rinku. She has an equally strong role as Aaishvary Thackeray. Monica Panwar has done justice to the given role, but it is a bit odd as a mother of two men. Kumud Mishra brings menace to the role of Ambika Prasad.

Analysis

Anurag Kashyap’s making is good. The writing is perfect with the local slang. The pace is steady, and when it started slowing down, an interesting scene was inserted, making the audience brisk. The supporting characters are designed well with comical inputs, and their comical scenes help to balance the violence. The performance of the stars is the strongest point, which makes the audience sit straight and watch the film, till the end. The songs are not much impressive. The length should have been trimmed. The visuals are pretty decent, and the production value is good.

Verdict

It may not be a movie with an excellent concept, but it is an engaging thriller with wonderful performances. It is definitely watchable once!
