The director of Chhaava reacted to Kashyap’s threat of joining the southern regions of Indian cinema and his alleged criticism of Bollywood. He mocked such filmmakers who think that they’re above the audience, and their movies cannot be subject to criticism.

Responding to Anurag’s threat of leaving Bollywood, Laxman Utekar said that nobody has stopped him from leaving Bollywood. In fact such filmmakers should start writing books about their problems instead of cribbing and complaining. According to Laxman, one has to be mentally and creatively happy in order to make a great movie.

Utekar also slammed Kashyap for saying that audience lacks the sensibility, mentioning the examples of films like RRR, Baahubali, Pushpa etc. According to the director of Chhaava, filmmakers also need to evolve instead of being fixated on one approach.
