Anurag Kashyap is back to business.
The actor once again accused commercialization in Bollywood for his exit from Hindi cinema. He also took a subtle jibe at Vicky Kaushal, with whom he worked on projects like Raman Raghav 2.0 and Manmarziyaan.
Anurag Kashyap claimed that while he is nobody to judge Vicky Kaushal, he didn’t like his blockbuster movie Chhaava, which he claimed exploited sensibilities.
Interestingly, it was Anurag Kashyap because of whom Vicky Kaushal couldn’t join one of the biggest franchises of Hindi cinema, i.e. the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe. Vicky was originally offered the iconic role of Vicky in Stree, which was later immortalized by Rajkummar Rao. However, despite his interest, he couldn’t provide time to the project due to his conflicting schedule with Manmarziyaan, which eventually turned out to be a box office dud.
Anurag Kashyap returned to Hindi cinema with Nishaanchi, which starred Aaishvary Thackeray, Vedika Pinto, Monika Panwar etc. in prominent roles. The director is also working on the crime drama Bandar, which stars Bobby Deol in the lead role.
