Plot
Munjya is the spirit of a man who died before becoming a family man. It is believed that if a guy dies before his Sod Munja ceremony and after Upanayan, he will be transformed into a Munjya. Munjyas are a mixture of monsters and children, as they die at an age between a kid and an adult. A young man visits his ancestral village and discovers the family secret and the spirit with a vengeance, Munjya. What happens next forms the rest of the story.
Star Performance
Abhay Verma plays the lead actor and delivers a decent performance. Sharvari Wagh plays the love interest of Abhay. Her performance is quite decent. Mona Singh has got a strong and performance-oriented role and she excels in it. Taranjot Singh is very much impressive, despite his limited screen presence. Suhas Joshi has performed neatly as brave Ajji. Her performance brings significance to the movie’s flow.
Analysis
Munjya has dark comedy sequences and enough thrills, though the horror elements are lacking in some places. The visual effects are excellent and make the audience enjoy the thrilling scenes. The sound effects and BGM are praise-worthy. With the sound effects the makers have provided enough thrills. The film slowly transforms into an adventure thriller, where the entire family fights with Munjya. Though the Munjya is a VFX creature, its character has the much-needed depth and brings the cinematic experience.

Munjya has brought enough thrills and black humor. Though it has some shortcomings, it is watchable once. If you are a horror-thriller fan, you can try this film.
