Aniket Mitra is an Indian director and illustrator who is known for his work in the Hindi film industry. He has been the storyboard artist for some of Bollywood’s most popular movies. Aniket grew up in Kolkata with a strong passion for art and design inspired by his father. He joined the Government College of Art and Craft, Calcutta, from where he graduated with a gold medal in graphic design. He worked in the creative teams of several large corporations like Cognizant and Capgemini in the capacity of a visual artist.
Aniket’s inherent love for stories pushed him to seek out a more creative outlet in cinema. He began writing and directing short films, some of which are ‘The Paper Boy (2015),’ ‘The Last Rain (2016)’ and ‘Aator (2017).’ His extensive experience with concept art and his filmmaking background got him noticed by major Bollywood studios who recruited him as an artist. He moved to Mumbai and has worked on the visuals and designs for movies like ‘Housefull 4 (2019),’ ‘Dil Bechara (2020),’ and ‘Atrangi Re (2021).’
