Rasika Vengurlekar was born on 11th July 1989 in Parel, Mumbai. She attended The Social Service League High School in Mumbai. Further, she pursued her higher studies from Maharshi Dayanand College of Arts Science and Commerce in Mumbai and graduated with a Bachelor’s of Commerce in 2011. Rasika Vengurlekar started her acting journey as a theatre artist before venturing into television. Rasika Vengurlekar featured in the daily soap Devyani… Ekka Raja Rani in 2012 in the character of Rani. Rasika Vengurlekar had her breakthrough with the 2015 Marathi sitcom Dil Dosti Duniyadari.

The show explores the lives of six friends who are flatmates. Rasika Vengurlekar played the role of Pragalbha Nagaonkar, the daughter of the society’s secretary. An eccentric person by character, Pragalbha ends up falling in love with Sam after having a series of casual relationships in the show. Dil Dosti Duniyadari is a hit among the viewers, which made Rasika Vengurlekar a familiar face in Marathi televison industry. In 2016, Rasika Vengurlekar got roped in to play the lead role in Zee Yuva’s television series Freshers. The story explores the lives of seven friends from different backgrounds who have entered college. It also shows how each of them develops and discovers their individuality. Rasika Vengurlekar plays the role of Renuka Billare, a timid girl from a low-income family.

The show ran for over two hundred episodes and ended successfully. Rasika Vengurlekar became a part of Sony Marathi’s comedy show, Maharashtrachi HasyaJatra, where she performs comedy acts.
