His great-grandpa, N.D. Sarpotdar was a pioneer of the Indian cinema business, and he is the fourth generation filmmaker in his family. At the age of 19, he began his career as an Executive Producer with the Etv network in Hyderabad. He is a talented director who has successfully experimented with various films and television genres.

He debuted with Uladhaal (2008) in the Marathi cinema industry. The movie is entirely a factual portrayal of the Koli community's current adolescents.
