Analysis: The movie received a lot of negative reviews after its release. The film was awaited by a lot of Akshay fans, and they are going to get disappointed with this performance of him. The movie had an interesting concept, but Shirish has completely failed to put all the pearls in a string to put some energy in the film. It has some major flaws in it that are too difficult to ignore. The film starts off well with an interesting start and gives the audience some hope. However, the film falls steeply, and it gets difficult to handle the film in the middle.
The screenplay is slow and draggy and will bore you, even at the crucial scenes. The climax is damn funny, and it will not even make sense the introduction of new characters in the film. The cinematography and visual effects are above the rest of the film, but stills fail to bring the movie to its standards.
Star performances: Akshay Kumar is the evergreen actor of the industry, and he has impressed with his performance. Sonakshi does not have much role in the film and hence could not showcase her skills. Shreyas Talpade is another star of the film which has done justice with his role. Shirish Kunder as a director has failed terribly. The story was interesting, but Shirish has just made a joke of the joker with his direction. He has also failed as an editor and needed to put more efforts in his work. Sudeep Chatterjee has done an average job as a cinematographer and needed more precision.
What's there? The movie does not have much to offer to the audience. However, it does have average cinematography and technical effects. The VFX effects are cleverly used in the climax to make it a happy ending. The music of the film is also liked by the audience and is pleasing them with its tunes that are on everyone's lips now.
What's not there? The film lacks proper narration to clear the clouds. The direction is also not up to the mark to create an impact on the audience. The screenplay is slow and is boring, and one would expect a much better performance from the crew. The makers have not properly justified the story, and it is not up to the mark.
Verdict: The film has nothing much in it to offer to entertain the audience. The movie is a kids-oriented film.
