Plot
The story of Gadar 2 starts from where it was left in the first part. It opens with the year 1971 when Tara Singh (Deol) and Sakina (Ameesha Patel) live happily in Punjab with their son Charanjeet (Utkarsh Sharma), who wants to become a film actor. Tara is a transporter who controls a fleet of trucks.
Soon Pakistan attacks India, and Tara is requested by Lieutenant Colonel Devendra Rawat (Gaurav Chopra) to deliver arms and ammunition to the Indian soldiers caught by the Pakistan Army. He is required to fight the enemies at the border.
Major General Hamid Iqbal (Manish Wadhwa) of Lahore has not forgiven Tara for destroying the Pakistan army in 1947. He wants to take revenge on him. Things become more interesting when Tara’s son Charanjeet crosses the border to search for his father, who hasn’t returned for three years. Like his father, he also falls in love with a Pakistani girl named Muskaan (Simrat Kaur). However, Hamid Iqbal’s army arrests and torture Tara’s Son. He is imprisoned in Kot Lakhpat jail in Pakistan.
Will Tara be able to save his son from the clutches of Major General Hamid Iqbal? Will he be able to defeat the Pakistan army once again?
Star Performance
After 22 years, Sunny Deol does not fail anywhere in this film. He delivered a terrific performance. Even at this age, his performance is full of energy. His physical power is visible throughout the film. The way he loves and cares for his son is very relatable to the viewers. Sunny Deol is the strength of this film. He runs the film alone with his action-packed performance.
Ameesha Patel looks beautiful on screen. She spreads her charm throughout the film. Her dialogue delivery and expressions are fantastic. The way she tearfully waits for his son and husband to return back home makes the viewers emotional.
Utkarsh Sharma looks decent on the screen. He shows all the characteristics of a Patriotic man. Simrat Kaur proves that she will be a great actress in the near future. She gave a brilliant performance.
Analysis
After 22 years, Gadar 2 creates a feeling of Nostalgia among the viewers. The scene in which Sunny Deol shouts Hindustan Zindabad takes us back to the year 2001. It is not just a film but an emotion for many people. Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel make the film engaging from the beginning. Like the first film Gadar:

Sunny Deol and Utkarsh Sharma’s action-packed scenes are mind-blowing. The first half of the film mainly focuses on Sunny’s love story. The real climax begins in the second half when Tara goes to Pakistan.
The music and Actor Sunny Deol are the film’s strengths. The most impressive thing is Mithoon’s reprised song Udd jaa Kaale Kaava, sung by

However, there are several flaws in this film. The runtime seems to be very long. It becomes boring in the first half due to the absence of Sunny Deol for about 30 minutes. The second half starts with a power, but after some time, it seems like the makers were completely out of ideas. The first part Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, kept the audience on tenterhooks till the end. But Gadar 2 fails to create such an impact.
