Plot
Romi Tyagi is a narcissist of the highest quality. A business tycoon from the hinterlands of UP, he falls for Rinku Kumari, who is looking for the prince charming. However, their fairy tales are interrupted by the arrival of Laila. Who is he, and what does she want from Romi? Is Romi heading for trouble?Â
Star Performances
While there is almost nothing to be proud about with this movie, exceptions do exist. Only Rajesh Sharma and Jahangir Khan made futile efforts to save an already sinking ship.Â
Analysis
There is always a purpose behind the making of every film. Whether for good or bad, there is a reason behind the creation of every movie. However, after watching this movie, the first question that comes to our minds is: "Why?"
Either the intention was to create a dark comedy embedded in the diverse landscape of Uttar Pradesh. If not, the makers thought of a con film with almost every element imaginable. But whatever the reason, when it came to execution, this film's standards sunk faster than the Titanic!Â
One refuses to believe that this movie also stars Ameesha Patel. Only months ago, the actress was a part of one of the most successful movies from 2023, i.e. 'Gadar 2'! Despite being over two decades old, Ameesha has yet to select scripts that suit her capabilities! Her performance in this film is like trading diamonds for coal! This is unimaginable to say the least! As for the lead, the lesser said, the better!Â
However, even if they were good, the storyline of this movie is so terrible that you cannot even watch it for free! Some sequences are not just bizarre but so bad that even 'Ganapath' looks like a delectable chocolate cake in front of this! There is no coherence at all in the screenplay; forget about entertainment.Â
Even if this movie is not a masterclass of acting or outstanding screenplay, that would not have been an issue. But if you are not getting even the basics right, that is something to worry about.Â

'Tauba Tera Jalwa' is a film that was nice only as a concept, but it crashed both on paper and in execution. Only some performances from actors Rajesh Sharma and Jahangir Khan salvaged this movie. It is best if avoided.Â
