Transformers: Dark of the Moon is the third part of the Transformers film series and follows the battle between Autobots and Decepticons, who fights to acquire the robust technology from their home-planet that crashes on Earth’s moon. Florida, Chicago, Milwaukee, Indiana, Washington D.C. and Moscow were the film locations. Dark of the Moon made US $1.12 billion worldwide and is the 13th film with the highest revenue of all time.

Plot: In 1961, a spacecraft named Ark crashed on the moon, which was detected by NASA. It carried an invention which was efficient enough to end the war between the beneficent Autobots and the Maleficent Decepticons. President John F Kennedy asks NASA to land a man on the moon to investigate, in the fear that the Russians will find out about the object before them. In 1969, Apollo 11 along with Neil Armstrong (Don Jeanes) and Buzz Aldrin (Cory Tucker), secretly lands on the moon and investigate about the craft.

They return back with lots of information. Presently, the Autobots are assisting the NEST team to prevent anything unusual around the globe. Before Sam could find more information, Jerry gets jumped from his office window and died. After a few moments, Laserbeak tries to kill Sam by appearing from a Xerox machine. However, Sam escapes and takes help from the ‘Department of Health and Human Services’. He informs Mearing about Jerry’s death and the pictures he got from Jerry, but Mearing denies to hear him. Together they find out that the Decepticons and their leader, Megatron, are killing those people who are connected to the space mission of the Ark. So how the Autobots make the plan to destroy Decepticons and what all tragedy happens. Watch the movie to know everything.

Analysis: From all the parts, Dark of the Moon is the best and the first one which has shown some results of the events occurred. Bay has improved the 3D action and the light level. Robots being the real reason why people go and watch Transformers and that too better than the previous ones. May be it did not proved to be a great film due to some or the other reasons, but it was a fun watching the film.

Star Performances: Shia LaBeouf (Sam) has always been the reason why people spent so much on this series. He proves through his acting that no other can be cast in his place. McDormand and John Turturro are playing the main supporting roles. Turturro has again built his own importance as an FBI agent, though having less part. Rosie Huntington- Whiteley also played well as the sexy girlfriend, replacing Megan Fox She’s known to be one of the “Sexiest Woman Alive” >> Read More... . Ken Jeong’s character was also enjoyable as the co-worker of Shia.

What’s there?

The timings, the action, the plans – these all made the movie. The credit of success only goes to the amazing 3D action scenes.

Due to which, the battles and the thrilling parts seemed more vibrant and entertaining. The action scenes are very better than the first two parts. Also, there were awkward and unfunny scenes from Ken Jeong and John Malkovich.

What’s not there?

There could have been more story, more acting from humans. No doubt, robots did a brilliant job but expected this from humans too. The use of abusive language is very excessive which is not suitable for the kids or teen boys.

Also, somewhere the subtitle ‘Dark of the Moon’ seems confusing as the word ‘side’ is missing. It gives no meaning to the subtitle without the appropriate word. The director, Michael Bay Michael, who was adopted by Harriet and Jim was ra >> Read More... , should have included more of the story, but he focused only on the violence, tall robots, falling of buildings, battles.

Verdict: Kids with the interest in robots, toys and having toys of Hasbro, then this movie is for them. Amazing 3D visualization with big robots and their battles, all in one movie, you’ll definitely have fun watching it.
