The Mule is a crime thriller flick scripted by Nick Schenk and directed by Clint Eastwood. The film is based on Sam Dolnick’s article, The Sinaloa Cartel’s 90-Year-Old Drug Mule. The film has the star cast of Clint Eastwood, Bradley Cooper, Laurence Fishburne, Michael Pena, Dianne Wiest, Andy Garcia, Alison Eastwood, Taissa Farmiga, Ignacio Serricchio, Loren Dean, Victor Rasuk, Manny Montana, Clifton Collins Jr, Noel Gugliemi, Robert LaSardo and Eugene Cordero. Arturo Sandoval composed the music. Yves Belanger cranked the camera and Joel cox edited the film. Imperative Entertainment, Bron Creative and Malpaso Productions produced the film on a large scale.

After his floral business is forced to stop, the 90-year-old horticulturist Earl Stone gets a drug courier job for a Mexican cartel. He gets success in his job and earns money quickly. His big shipment attracts the attention of DEA agent Colin Bates, who charge more in the business. Now, Earl's past mistakes follow him and now he is in a situation to clear his mistakes and make them right. What did he do? Watch the film in theaters!

Star Performance

Clint Eastwood had done a great job and impressed the audiences. Bradley Cooper had done justice to his role.

The scriptwriter should be appreciated for designing Clint’s role. But Bradley Cooper’s role should have been dealt better with some more details. Clint wins the heart of the audiences as a director and the lead star. The BGM is fantastic and gels well with the script that starts in early ‘2000s and ends in the present period.

What’s There?

  • The performance of the stars are good
  • Clint Eastwood attracts in both acting and directing
  • BGM and the cinematography are classic

What’s Not There?

  • The characters are not dealt with detail, except the protagonist

The film comes with a real-life story that impresses the audiences. Right from the beginning till the end, Clint had lived in his character and proved his worth. If you love to watch performance oriented films, then this will attract you!
