Plot

Leda is a middle-aged translator and a university professor who goes to Greece for vacation. There she meets a young mother, Nina, and her daughter Elena. When Elena goes missing on a beach Leda finds her and unites her with Nina. In the past, Leda was also a young mother with two daughters. Star Performance

Olivia gave a very solid performance the audience could feel what her character was going through. She successfully emitted a mystery side of her role and the audience was curious and happy to see this Dakota Johnson as Nina was very good in the role.

Analysis

The women in this film portrayed the various feeling and stages of a woman perfectly and how overwhelming motherhood can get. We see many unnatural sides of a person and maybe it was because of the past trauma. Like the way, Leda leaves her daughters but comforts Nina and Elena. In the end, she realizes what she had lost and there is no point regretting now.

What’s There?

  • Great acting.
  • Intense story and interesting characters.

What’s Not There?

  • The movie is a bit difficult to follow, it gets confusing sometimes in the middle.
  • The story is highly psychological and not relatable.

Verdict

It is not just a timepass movie, it actually requires so much attention and understanding. Other than that you can give this movie a chance and see if you like it.
