as the CIA agents requests them to kill Kim. Franco visits him and feels good about his character, and foil the plans of killing him. But later, when Kim's body guards get killed, his real identity is seen. Franco, Seth, and Caplan, try to make him feel the guilt and cry on the show. Will they be able to achieve it?
ANALYSIS: Before the release of the movie, the production company faced a huge hack of their database. This was a bad sign, and North Korea was suspected of being behind this attack. In spite of all these problems, the movie managed for making a release. These many controversies created a natural curiosity among the people. But most of the people were left unsatisfied. The directors have missed a wonderful opportunity, may be due to the lack of experience in directing a political satire.
STAR PERFORMANCES: Eminem's cameo at the beginning attracted everyone. Unlike their previous works, Rogen and Franco were having more responsibilities to fulfill the major aspects of the movie like humor, action, etc. Unfortunately, due to lack of focus on a particular area, they were not able to score well in all the aspects. Caplan's performance was underutilized.
WHAT'S THERE? Park's performance as Kim Jong-Un is a noteworthy one. Though the movie was silly, it created chuckles here and there. Scatological humor Is present in this movie, that Rogen use in all his movies.
WHAT'S NOT THERE? The movie was not much effective. The level of comedy was less when compared to their previous productions. No new elements were found in the movie. Graphic violence makes us lose our patience. It was unnecessary and looked gross.
VERDICT: This movie is suitable for people who does not easily get embarrassed on scatological jokes since you are about to spend the full duration on a movie based on such jokes.
