Plot

Mufasa is the Lion King. Simba is the legal heir of Mufasa and he will be the King of the Jungle, after his father. Scar, the wicked uncle of Simba, plans to kill both father and the son and tries to grab the throne. Simba escapes and Mufasa is killed. After a few years, Simba returns to his land to dethrone his wicked uncle Scar and to achieve this, Simba gets the help from Timon and Pumbaa. Did he succeed? Watch the film in theaters.

Star Performance

Glover has rendered his voice for Simba and it is fantastic. Chiwetel Ejiofor did an excellent job as Scar. Seth Rogen, Billy Eichner and the rest of the stars have done a great job.

Analysis

Although the script is the same as that of the animated film, the making is excellent. It is really a treat to watch the photorealistic computer-animated version of the film. It doesn’t seem to be an animated version, but we feel that as if we are watching the real animals speaking, fighting and ruling. Kudos the experts in the animation studios, who worked hard to bring the realistic version of the film. All the stars have done a perfect job and their voice suited the animated animals well. The screenplay is excellent and the film didn’t have any lag at all. BGM is fantastic. When Simba is back, the audiences sit straight to watch an exciting fight for the throne and there stand the screenplay, the voice over and the BGM.

What’s There?

  • Neat scripting, screenplay and execution
  • Voice over stars have done a good job
  • Animation is top-notch

What’s Not There?

  • A few minor errors

Verdict

The Lion King is a perfect photorealistic computer-animated movie that attracts all age group audiences. Watch the film with your family and we are sure that everyone will love it!
