Plot

The Hollar is a comedy-drama directed by John Krasinski and written by James C.Strouse. The music was composed by Josh Ritter, which is one of the highlights of the movie. The story unfolds when John Hollar gets to know that his mother is ill and is going to undergo a surgery. John is an artist, who is struggling to make a career in his field and wants to lead a different life from the one he has been living in America. His past is quite devastating and has seen many family problems since childhood, enmity in school, girlfriend’s issues, etc.

Now, when Hollar gets to know that his mother is going to have a surgery, he leaves all his work and comes back to look after her. It is a catastrophic situation for him as he has no secure future, and on the other hand, his family sees so many troubled states. The movie shows the emotional and heartbreaking life of John Hollar. The picture focuses on the relationships of friendship and families. The story further unfolds onto how he sorts out all the issues in his life and the “never give up” personality of his is main drive of his life’s journey in the film.

Star performance

The movie cast some talented actors and all have done a prevailing work. Analysis John Krasinski brought a very heart-rending story which will leave everyone in tears.
