The movie ‘
Sabotage
’ is based on the story by
Skip Woods
. There are movie fanatics, and hero-worshippers. I am no exception to that, and am a fan of multifaceted
David Ayer
as writer and director. Initially, I came to know of this talented artiste as I watched ‘
End of Watch
’, and again with movie ‘
Training Day
’. My endeavor is to stress that the movie does not disappoint, and of course, the classic is one among my list of favorites. There is blood, brutality, and at the same time the movie is deep and thought provoking. Compliments and due for David, and I recommend him to keep up quality in this works.
The movie unfolds with John and his team of agents bearing resemblance to thugs. They barge into a drug dealer’s party, finish off everybody and locate a pile of cash. Before a police team could arrive, they pinch 10 million dollars. Prevalent anticipation is that the movie is about cops and criminals, like in ‘Fast and Furious’.
Here arrives the unexpected twist, and the movie takes a different course. Suddenly, the fans realize that it is not all about sabotage. A few months later, John and his fellow-mates take up another case. Much to their shock, members of their group are eliminated one by one. The movie ‘Sabotage’ turns out to be one in which John and a local FBI agent (Olivia Williams) attempt to bring together the pieces, and find out who does the killing, person within or out of their group.
One cannot deny that
Arnold Schwarzenegger
is prevalent throughout the movie. There is something about him which makes him so compelling to watch.
What is so typical of the movie is its story line with unexpected twists. Mystery elements are pushed back in the story. It is a straightforward action thriller, with lengthy car chase and several fights. Ayer does his level best to keep the audience guessing.
There is plenty of action in the movie, and audiences’ eyes pop out while watching chasing scenes. People bleed, go under trains, and are squeezed to death in traffic and it makes it very thrilling to watch. But, there is a lingering unpleasantness throughout the movies as such scenes recur.
If you like violence, then the movie is for you. And, if you are a fan of Arnold Schwarzenegger, just do not miss the movie.
