Horror flick ‘ The Quiet Ones Click to look into! >> Read More... ’ seems much like a drab movie, and there are copious cheap horror scenes in it. Hammer Film Productions, which used to direct horror movies in the 60’s and 70’s, did it with quality then. Audiences may turn up at theatres with huge expectations, but are disappointed with just a substandard movie.Â
Coincidentally, the movie takes place in the decades when the horror flicks were at prime. After those times, it seemed like there were scanty good movies with regard to horror. Of late, Hammer Films has risen like a phoenix from the ashes and given spine-chilling movies as ' Let Me In Click to look into! >> Read More... ' and another horror flick 'The Woman in Black'. The movie which is about supernatural possession is in fact a very mediocre one, and it looks like the previous flick ‘Paranormal Activity’ is a lot better.Â
Presumably, the plot revolves around true incidents. The movie happens in 1972 when Hammer Films had been giving quality movies. A young and vibrant cinematographer Brian, played by Sam Claflin Samuel George Sam Claflin is a British film and TV >> Read More... captures supernatural occurrences happening around young woman Jane Harper played by Olivia Cooke. Krissi and Harry are lovers who join the others on their mission.Â
Jane feels that she has got mystic powers but Professor Coupland is not convinced and he is doubtful. He tries to explain it scientifically, and says that it is all in the mind. He has got counter arguments for every paranormal activity in the movie.Â
The Professor Click to look into! >> Read More... is curious enough to go through case and wants to treat Jane. He puts Jane in confinement and spooky things start happening. Suddenly, there is a sound and the director expects the audiences to jump out of their skins. But, he is just not able to perform the feat. Such mediocre scares are plentiful in the movie.Â
Brian does nothing at all, and the lovers in the movie make pretty appearances on screen, and are at times seen shouting. Harris does a good role in the movie, uttering few impressing dialogues. Otherwise, there is nothing worth mentioning about the movie.Â
The audiences get the least essence of spookiness in the movie, and the director is entirely at fault.
