The American flick Robot & Frank is a direction by Jake Schreier. The movie hit the big screens in 2012. The screenplay for the film is by Christopher Ford. Francis and the Lights band have composed the music. The movie is a sci-fi comedy and both Schreier and Ford made a debut into such a marvelous effort.
The movie won wide acclaim from critics. Screenplay, production and delivery by actors in the movie are commendable. The movie bagged award in 2012 Film Festival. The flick comes as the first feature film from director Jake Schreier. Christopher Ford developed the screenplay from his short film of 2003.
The movie drew huge audiences during the Film Festival. The movie is not as sentimental as some movies from few highly creative artists. The plot revolves around a once upon a time jewel thief who had been robbing priceless ornaments. His wife had left him long back for his tainted profession and jail sentences. Throughout his life, Frank, a Jewel thief, had spent time on fending for his children.
Now, he is in the budding stages of Alzheimer’s disease. He forgets that his son is not a college guy anymore, and he forgets to recollect his favorite restaurant. His children come to terms with the fact that Frank cannot lead a lonely life anymore. Initially, Frank’s children plan to admit him in an old age home.
But, much to Frank’s dislike, his son gets him a robot to fend for Frank whose mental and physical health are fast deteriorating. Peter Saarsgard is the voiceover for the robot.
