Dolphin Tale 2 is a sequel of the same name and has Morgan Freeman One of his notable films “The Shawshank Redemption >> Read More... , Cozi Zuehlsdorff, Nathan Gamble and Harry Connick Jr. in main roles.

Plot: The story picks up where it was left back in its prequel when Sawyer rescues a CMA Dolphin “Winter”. He receives a scholarship for the SEA semester program which involves researching over marine mammals. He gets all of these because the council organizing this program is impressed by his past heroics. But Sawyer(Nathan Gamble) has no plans to go to the program as he has more concerns about Winter as he does not wants to leave her alone. Winter already is undergoing stress as her Dolphin friend Panama passed away recently. This creates problems for Sawyer as the Health Inspector who inspects Winter asks him to have Winter a female friend again or she would be transferred somewhere else for her own good. Sawyer tries hard to find her a companion but instead faces repetitive failure.

Moreover, Winter’s behavior becomes more aggressive as she knocks off Sawyer who tries to swim with her. This calls for an immediate action as Sawyer and his family tries t find a suitable match for Winter. They find a temporary hope in Mandy a Dolphin which could be the companion for Winter they were looking for so long but that too eventually becomes a failure as they decide Mandy to be left to the sea as she would not adjust to Winter. But Sawyer does not lose hopes and goes out to find a companion for his beloved Dolphin once again. Winter’s behavior too calms down as the movie progresses and Sawyer finally succeeds in making his Dolphin happy and hearty once again.

Analysis: I love Dolphins and I am not bluffing on this, Dolphin Tale 2 is a warm and nice movie which speaks of the life of Winter the main character of this movie. All the characters just revolve around her trying to make her life better as she loses one of her beloved companion. This movie straight with no twists and turns and just centralized upon Winter who is cute and adorable. The rest just fill in to justify their acts which is based upon pleasing the cutie pie of this movie. Screenplay is well and monotonous with the actors talking Winter amongst them that’s it.

Star Performances: It would be weird to say this but Winter is our winner here!!Ha kidding!! The whole cast should be applauded for the duties they discharged for Winter pleasing and whining for her. Morgan Freeman seems to be a useless addition here because He has nothing much to do except prepare a prosthetic tail for the poor Dolphin yet he delivers for what h is known for.

What's There?

• Cute little story of a Dolphin and the characters surrounding her.

• Straight storyline looks good in this movie.

• Satisfying screenplay and cinematography.

• The whole cast contributes well which adds to the delight.

What's Not There?

• All the focus is only on the Dolphin and not on other characters which looks bizarre.

• Senior actors like Morgan Freeman are pointless additions.

Verdict: Dolphin Tale 2 is an extravaganza for those who love Dolphins and just can’t get enough of it. But the rest should see it as a “one-time watch”
