Gautamiputra Satakarni is the 100th film of Nandamuri Balakrishna. The film is growing at a fast pace in a mega budget. Touted to be the historical script, Balayya plays the titular role. Shriya Saran plays the queen and a mother of two kids. It is stated that Nara Rohit would play the son of Balayya, but none had confirmed it, yet. Hema Malini is said to play Balayya's mother, After wrapping up the first schedule, which was held in Maldives, the second schedule is being shot in Hyderabad. Krish Jagaralmudi of “Kanche” fame directs the film as well as producing it. It is also heard that Balayya’s son Nandamuri Mokshagna Teja has been working as an associate director to Krish in this landmark film. Moksha was supposed to make his debut as a hero.
