Why Did Kamal's Vishwaroopam 2 Fail At The Box Office?

“Vishwaroopam 2,” the highly expected film directed by Kamal Haasan, released on 10th August 2018. The film released in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu, but it didn't go well as expected. We all know that “Vishwaroopam” did a grand success in 2013, but Vishwaroopam 2 didn't follow it. The film had collected Rs 50 crores worldwide and its Tamilnadu collection is Rs 30 crores. As it is a bilingual in Tamil and Hindi, the makers expected that the film would bring a huge box office collection. The Hindi version was not received well, despite promotions. The reason for the flop in this film is not yet known. However, some people say that due to the political entry of Kamal Hassan, the film might have been failed to attract the audiences. It is to be noted that Karthik Sivakumar movie Kadaikutty Singam, which was produced in a medium budget crossed Rs 50 crores and was profitable to the makers.
